Has anyone else been keeping up with the case of Sadiq Abdul-Shakur Haqq-Barksdale? I find it troubling that this tragic event happened almost three years ago, and yet there have been no arrests. I was rereading some old posts about the case, and it seems like there were multiple gunshots before his car crashed into that tree. It makes me think, why hasn’t anyone nearby come forward with more information? Could it be fear of retaliation or maybe they didn't see much in the early morning darkness?
My thoughts are with Sadiq’s family. I can't imagine how difficult it must be to continue without answers or justice. Hopefully, someone will eventually feel safe enough or compelled to share what they know. I wonder how many other cases like this remain unsolved in Philly. The community must be frustrated. Keeping awareness up might help keep the pressure on and remind those with info that there are people who care, waiting for justice for Sadiq. If anyone has more insight, please do share.
It's really troubling to think about how Sadiq's case remains unsolved nearly three years later. Hearing about his death and the circumstances around it stirs a lot of emotions. I noticed people often discuss the point of the crash or the gunshots, but can we talk about the Mazda itself? It seems to me that the vehicle could hold some crucial evidence. Was there any surveillance footage from nearby homes or businesses that captured the car before the incident? It makes you wonder if someone else was potentially in the car with him, or if it had been seen in suspicious situations earlier on. If anyone here has insight into how police typically handle searches for video evidence like this, it might give us all some clarity about the steps being taken to solve this tragic case. His family deserves answers, and I really hope the community continues to push for justice for Sadiq.
Does anyone else find it concerning how many unsolved cases are piling up in Philly? The tragic circumstances surrounding Sadiq's death are so troubling. It's not just that he was gunned down, but how no one’s been caught yet despite what seems like clear potential leads. The neighborhood must still be in shock. I can only imagine how his family feels, needing answers and closure. It makes you wonder if more outreach or resources are needed for cases like these. There must be someone out there who knows something—however small it might seem. If you're out there and know anything, please think of the family and share what you know. For Sadiq’s sake, the silence around his case needs to be broken.
