Just read about the F/V "Addington" sinking in the Shelikof Strait—it’s crazy how these fishermen put themselves out there. I’ve been following the updates, and seeing Clarence “John” Chepak’s name come up really hits home. My uncle works in commercial fishing, and hearing about situations like this, you realize how quickly things can change in those harsh waters. It makes me wonder about safety protocols and if there's any new tech being developed to help in emergencies like this. Does anyone here know more about what happened or if this area is particularly dangerous for weather at this time of year?
