I was reading old records about Anthony's disappearance and found it intriguing how little attention the weather conditions got. I've been to Alaska, and back then, the weather reports weren’t as advanced as today. Does anyone know if on 08/09/1973 there were any sudden storms or strong winds reported around Halibut Cove? It seems vital to understand how tricky the sea could've been that day. Maybe locals have stories or anecdotes from that time? Any insight would be appreciated.

Hey folks, I was digging through some old case notes and stumbled across Anthony's situation from back in '73. It's always intriguing when incidents involve water travel, especially small craft. I'm curious about the weather conditions that day between Halibut Cove and Homer. Was there a storm or high winds that might have contributed to his skiff overturning in China Poot Bay? Anyone with knowledge of local conditions back then have thoughts? It's a little detail, but sometimes those small elements shed light on what could've happened. Hoping to piece together more of this case’s puzzle!

Does anyone have more information on the weather conditions the day Anthony went missing? I’ve been looking into the history of similar incidents around that area and found that unexpected weather changes have been a factor in many cases. It’s possible that rough waters or a sudden storm could have contributed to the skiff overturning. Local news archives or personal accounts from that time could offer some insight. Maybe someone familiar with the region or maritime activities back then could shed some light? Thanks.
