Hey everyone,
I came across the case of James Michael "Jim" Robinson, and I can't stop thinking about how unpredictable nature can be. It makes me wonder about the weather conditions that day on Bellingham Bay. Was there sudden change or unexpected rough water? I can't imagine what it must be like for the families, not having answers despite the search efforts. And knowing how experienced kayakers can still face dangers, it serves as a sobering reminder of how careful we need to be with outdoor activities, especially when conditions change. Anyone local remember what the weather was like back then, or know if they had any weather warnings that day?
Has anyone else been pondering the weather conditions on Bellingham Bay the day Jim and Braden went missing? I've done a bit of digging and it seems like March weather can be pretty unpredictable in that area. I wonder if sudden changes played a bigger role in what happened. The tides can get wild and winds pick up quickly, even for experienced kayakers. It's just tragic to think about how a fun day on the water could turn so quickly. I hope this serves as a reminder for others to always be cautious and prepared when venturing out, especially early in the season. Thoughts?
