I can't stop thinking about Sean Toomey's parents and how they must feel knowing their son's life was cut short by a random act of violence. Sean was just doing a simple task like carrying water from the car, something we all do without a second thought. It breaks my heart to think about how quickly and tragically things can change. I keep wondering about community safety. The fact that it was just 9:10 p.m. and something like this could happen is frightening. Is there more that can be done to prevent these situations in our neighborhoods in the future? It feels like this could have happened to any of us or our loved ones. My thoughts are with Sean’s family as they navigate this difficult time. I hope they find some peace in knowing the community stands with them and demands accountability for the senseless violence that took Sean away far too soon.

It's just so incredibly sad thinking about the chaos and fear Sean must have felt in his last moments. The fact that he was just doing something as simple as carrying water and ended up in the crossfire is terrifying. It's unnerving to think about how life can change in an instant. I can't imagine what his family is going through, trying to wrap their heads around such a senseless act. I hope they can find some solace in knowing that Sean's organ donation might give others a second chance at life. It's horrifying to think that two other teens, close to Sean's age, are responsible for all this. Their youth makes this tragedy feel even more complicated—it’s devastating all around. Here's to hoping the investigation uncovers everything needed to bring about some sense of justice for Sean and his family. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this unimaginable loss.
