I was reading up on some cold cases and stumbled upon the disappearance of Francis Wisnovsky from Trail, Oregon. This one has been baffling me. I’m particularly curious about whether there were any significant searches conducted in the immediate aftermath of his disappearance. It seems like, back in 1980, search and rescue operations might not have been as coordinated or technology-aided as they are today. Does anyone have information on whether the local law enforcement or community organized any comprehensive searches back then? And if so, were there any areas they specifically focused on? It just feels strange that someone so well-regarded could vanish without a trace. Would love to hear more thoughts or insights!
