Does anyone else find it incredibly concerning how long it took to arrest Raymond Bryan Gourgue? Over a year passed between the incident and the arrest! I can't imagine the pain and frustration Jose Bermudez's family must have felt waiting for justice. It makes me wonder about the resources or priorities of the local authorities. I've seen discussions on delayed justice before, but this case really hits hard. I'm glad they finally got a conviction, but it's unsettling to think about what might have happened during that gap. Anyone have thoughts on why there might have been such a delay?

I was reading up on the case and something really struck me about the time it took for Raymond Gourgue to be arrested. Over a year going by before his arrest must have been incredibly tough for Jose Bermudez's family. I can't even imagine the pain and uncertainty they went through during that time. Detective Samson Wega and Detective Kevin Mriss must have been under immense pressure to piece everything together in such a complicated case. It's so crucial for justice to be served in a timely manner, not just for the victims and their families but also for the community at large. It just makes me think about all the cases out there where families are still waiting for answers. Sending thoughts to Jose’s loved ones who continue to endure this difficult journey.

Did anyone else find it unusual how long it took to arrest Raymond Gourgue? Over a year seems like a significant gap, especially since there were witnesses during the altercation. I’m wondering if this delay was due to a lack of cooperation from the witnesses or maybe evidence that was hard to gather? It's unsettling to think that someone potentially dangerous was out in the community for so long after such a tragic incident. My thoughts are with Jose Bermudez’s family—they must have been through so much uncertainty and pain during that period. Hopefully, justice being served provides them some level of closure.
