It's been over a year now since Malik Davis was tragically taken from his family and the Williamsport community. I can't imagine the pain his loved ones must still be feeling, especially with no clear answers in sight. I can’t stop thinking about the impact violent incidents like this have on neighborhoods. It’s not just a statistic or a headline—real people's lives are turned upside down. One thing that stands out to me is the ongoing challenge that law enforcement faces with witness cooperation. I understand that people might feel scared or reluctant to come forward, but staying silent means the person responsible remains free, possibly putting more people at risk. I hope anyone with even the slightest bit of information finds a way to communicate it to the authorities, even if it’s anonymously. Malik’s family deserves justice and the community deserves the peace of knowing that a dangerous individual isn’t still amongst them.
