Hi everyone, I've been diving into the perplexing case of Betty and Louis Balas, and something about their missing car keeps nagging at me. Their 1978 maroon Cadillac was found abandoned just a day after they disappeared, seven miles from their home. Considering they vanished within a narrow three-hour window, it's curious why the car ended up in a vacant lot. Was it a random drop-off, or was it intended to mislead investigators into thinking they left voluntarily? It seems odd that someone would leave such a noticeable car in a public spot unless they wanted it found. Also, with multiple people potentially involved, could the car have been a diversion while something else was happening elsewhere? The more I think about it, the more it seems like the car might hold a clue overlooked in the bigger picture. What do you all think? Could there be significance in where it was left, or am I grasping at straws?
Hey everyone, I've been poring over the details of the Balas case, and something that keeps intriguing me is the mention of a possibly pregnant woman being involved. I've been trying to think about why this lead was brought up—is there a witness statement that was never publicized, or was there something they found in the Cadillac that hinted at this possibility? In cases like these, it's those little details that seem insignificant at first that can sometimes make a big difference. What does everyone else think? Have any of you seen similar details in other cases where a specific mention like this turned out to be crucial? It's been over 40 years, and I'm just hoping that by discussing every angle, we might stumble across something useful. Thoughts?
