I've been diving into the Louis and Betty Balas case, and there's something I'd like to discuss. It's intriguing how their maroon Cadillac was found in a vacant lot just a day after they went missing. I find this point particularly strange because, if the intention was to make them disappear without a trace, why not completely abandon the car in a less noticeable spot? Instead, it was left in a relatively open area. Could it have been a deliberate attempt to distract investigators or lead them away from another location? Also, does anyone have more info on that vacant lot back in 1980? Wondering if there were any notable events or people frequenting the area.
