Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the beautiful mural on Parrish Street that was recently painted in memory of Derrick Blye. It’s truly touching to see the community come together to honor him in such a meaningful way. I didn’t know Derrick personally, but the messages and artwork really show how loved and cherished he was by those who did. It’s moments like this that make me hopeful, even amidst the sadness. The mural not only pays tribute to Derrick’s life but also serves as a powerful reminder for us to rally against the cycle of violence affecting so many lives. I hope this can be a place where conversations spark change and prevention of further tragedies. Sending all my support to Derrick’s family and friends. ? Stay strong, Philly. We need to look out for each other.
