I’ve been following Chance Naylor’s case closely and something that sticks with me is how quickly everyday routines can turn tragic. Chance was just a regular teenager doing something as simple as heading to the convenience store with a friend. It’s a chilling reminder that life’s fragility is something we often overlook. I can’t imagine the weight that Chance’s family is carrying, knowing that a simple outing ended in such tragedy. My heart goes out to them. On another note, I’ve been thinking about community safety. How often do we pass by these stores without thinking twice, yet there’s surveillance footage of a man following them? Stuff like this makes me wish there was more active community awareness or security presence. Maybe it wouldn't prevent everything, but it feels like there should be more that we, as neighbors, can do. I really hope somebody comes forward with information soon. The McKeesport community seems tight-knit, and I have faith that someone will step up. Let’s all keep Chance and his family in our thoughts and push for that justice they deserve.
