I came across an interesting aspect of David Charles Dodge's case that I hadn't seen discussed much before: the identity of the woman he was last seen with. It's intriguing how her name is uncertain, whether it was Jean, Gina, or Jenna, and her connection to the Missouri plates on the light blue station wagon. I wonder if anyone has looked into registrations or rental car records from that time to get a full name or more details. Given the potential SS fraud scheme, it seems like finding this woman could be key to unraveling what really happened to him. Does anyone have any insights on whether this lead was pursued further by investigators or if it led anywhere?
Possibly connected or just coincidence? I keep coming back to the fact that David Dodge's Social Security checks were redirected to a PO Box in Milledgeville, Georgia. Does anyone know if the authorities ever dug deeper into who was managing this PO Box? Given the time period, tracking this info would have been a lot harder compared to today, but it might've offered some clues. Milledgeville isn't exactly a huge city. Was the woman in the blue station wagon spotted there? If this was some kind of scheme to collect his benefits, you'd think there'd be a trail leading back to whoever set this up. Anyone have insight on what measures were common back then for checking mail fraud like this? It seems like such a crucial piece that's getting overlooked.
