I've been digging into the case of Patrolman Alfred Evans, and one thing that's really been on my mind is the potential identity of the suspect who got away. It's baffling to think that someone could commit such a bold crime and disappear without a trace. Given the time period, I wonder how much was hindered by the lack of forensic technology we have today. I can't imagine the frustration and sadness his family must have felt never knowing who was responsible for taking him away from them. It would be interesting to know if any witnesses came forward later with additional details. Perhaps the community still holds some secrets that could lead to answers even now. Has anyone delved into old archives or family stories from that era that might shine some light on this mysterious suspect?
