I’ve been reading up on the tragic events leading to Patrolman Herman Pahler's death, and can’t stop thinking about the bravery William Wingate showed on that day. Without hesitation, he risked his own life to help Pahler, pulling him away from the chaos and getting him to the hospital. It’s a level of selflessness that is truly awe-inspiring. I wonder what was going through his mind at that moment. His actions deserve as much recognition as the heroic services of officers like Pahler. My heart goes out to both Pahler’s family and those directly affected by the tragedy. Just a reminder of how sometimes ordinary people are thrust into extraordinary circumstances and respond with incredible courage.
