I’ve been reading about the Easter Sunday Massacre, and my heart goes out to everyone who was affected by it, especially young Thomas Frank Ruppert. Being just 15 and having your life taken so suddenly is just unimaginable. I can't help but wonder about his friends and classmates who must have been in shock and mourning when they returned to school after spring break. Losing a friend so young, and in such a tragic manner, must have been incredibly difficult for them. I hope they were able to support each other and find some kind of peace over time. I also wonder if any memorials or anniversaries took place to remember Thomas and the other victims. It’s devastating to think of all the futures that were extinguished that day. If anyone here knows how the local schools or community dealt with the aftermath, I’d be very interested to hear about it.
