Hi everyone,
I've been digging into the tragic case of the Stevenson family, and there's something that's been on my mind. While the authorities ruled out any connection between the murders and the explosion at the fireworks stand, I wonder why there hasn't been more focus on the possibility of it being a distraction or a setup. Could it have been orchestrated to divert attention while the real plan unfolded?
It's just so puzzling that such a horrific crime remains unsolved after all these years, and my heart goes out to the families who still don't have closure. The fact that there was another juvenile involved in the fireworks incident makes me think about how these two events coincided. I’m genuinely curious if anyone has come across any local rumors or theories that might shed light on this connection, even if just to help piece the timeline together. My thoughts are with Billy Jr.'s family and the Bethel community. Such a senseless loss.
Keep safe and keep talking. Every bit of insight helps.

Hi, I'm the Stevenson's granddaughter. The information on here is inaccurate. Billy Jr was not just visiting his parents-he was 5-he lived there. A minor thing, but rubbed me the wrong way. Eddie was the only one that was there visiting, from Michigan. The case was also solved. There were 2 men, 1 a family friend who got away with it and his "bodyguard". The latter went to prison and died there. There is a podcast about it by M. William Phelps. It's called Paper Ghosts and it is Season 2, Burned, there are 9 episodes.
