I think it’s important to highlight how pivotal family and community support can be in such tough times. From what I've read, his funeral drew a staggering number of fellow officers from all over. That kind of unity speaks volumes about the impact Detective Schroeder had during his time on the force. It’s comforting to know that his wife Amy and their young son Eric weren’t alone in their grief but had the backing of a wider community. I can’t even imagine what they've gone through, but it reminds me of the strength found in solidarity.
