Does anyone else feel like the sentence for Julian A. Johnson was way too lenient? I’ve been thinking about the effect it must’ve had on Ernest Edwards’ family, and it just doesn’t sit right with me that Johnson got only eight years for involuntary manslaughter and tampering with evidence when an innocent person lost his life. A plea deal is one thing, but it seems like such a short time considering the gravity of what happened. I hope Alicia and their son have found some peace, but it just feels like the system let them down a bit. I’d love to hear everyone’s thoughts on plea deals in situations like this. Do you think they ever really provide justice?

Has anyone else noticed the extensive delays in bringing Walter Baker Jr. to justice? It's baffling that it took authorities nearly seven years to arrest him for his alleged involvement in the shooting at the Nite Owl. I can't imagine the pain Ernest Edwards' family experienced, waiting that long for some semblance of closure. It makes me question how such a significant piece of the puzzle was left hanging for so long. I hope this case pushes for more efficient investigations and better witness cooperation in the future. My thoughts are with Ernest's loved ones, who had to endure such a drawn-out process amidst their grief.
