Has anyone explored the connections between Cook and the people he knew before going to prison? I mean, this guy seemed to have planned his wife's death to some extent, so it's not a stretch to think he might have had help with his escape or at least a plan once he got out. I read somewhere that escapees often get assistance from old acquaintances or family members—maybe someone from his past resurfaced to aid him? Or is it possible he could have had access to any financial resources that could have supported him all these years? Just curious if any of this was dug into more thoroughly by the authorities or amateur sleuths. Thoughts?
