I've been following the James Howard Dunn case for a while, and it's so puzzling how someone can just vanish without a trace, especially after a police encounter. I was reading about how dense the wooded area near the police stop was—could it be possible that he found somewhere to hide and something happened to him? It's surprising that no clues have turned up during the searches. With all the technology and resources available now, it seems like revisiting that area with fresh eyes and newer methods could uncover something missed the first time. Does anyone know if there have been any recent efforts to conduct new searches or if modern technology like drones has been used to scan the area again? It feels like there has to be some overlooked detail or evidence still out there.

Has anyone else noticed the lack of details on the person who fled with James Dunn? It seems like they would have crucial information about what happened after they separated in the woods. Were they ever publicly identified or questioned about the events leading up to James disappearing? It's odd that there's so little mention of this individual in the reports. If they were the last person to see James, perhaps questioning them again with fresh perspectives might shed new light or bring up details they might not have mentioned initially. It's a long shot, but after all this time, any lead could be significant. What do you think?

Does anyone have insights on what the terrain might have been like in that wooded area back in 1987? I’m wondering if it's possible James Dunn could’ve gotten lost or injured while trying to find his way out. I've read that the density of those kinds of forests can be pretty intense, especially if you don't know the area well. It's curious that he hasn't been found all these years, considering how exhaustive the search efforts supposedly were. Could it be possible he became disoriented in the dark and wandered further away from the search zone than expected? Terrain can sometimes play a huge role in these cases. Would love to hear thoughts from anyone familiar with the area!
