I've been reading through posts about Lacon Wilson's tragic death, and like many of you, I'm left wondering what it's going to take for the city to see real change. It’s devastating to think about how Lacon's family has been left with so many unanswered questions, and unfortunately, they're not alone. Detroit has been through so much, and yet families are still waiting for justice—all these years later. There are so many potential witnesses who might hold key information but choose not to come forward. How do we create an environment where people feel safe enough to speak up? Is it about building more trust with law enforcement, or maybe local community groups could help bridge that gap? It’s frustrating and incredibly sad that fear or distrust can stand in the way of closure. I genuinely hope that new approaches or advancements in forensic technology can bring some resolution to these cold cases. My thoughts are with Lacon's family and everyone else who has suffered a similar loss.
