I've been following the Henson case, and the detail about Quiller using a large flashlight during the shooting really has my mind racing. It seems so chilling that he obscured his face that way. It's like he was methodical about not being recognized or maybe making it harder for Thomas to identify him, even in such a helpless situation. It adds a different layer of coldness to the crime for sure. I can’t even begin to imagine what Thomas’s family must be going through, knowing that their loved one’s last moments were probably filled with confusion and fear. While I'm relieved that justice has been served with Quiller's conviction, I hope that Thomas’s family can find some peace and healing moving forward. This case really makes you think about the senselessness of it all and the holes it leaves in people’s lives.
