Has anyone else given thought to the fact that both suspects in Chandler Baker's case were so young themselves? It just adds another layer of tragedy to this already devastating situation. It’s absolutely mind-boggling to think about how a moment of bad decisions led to such irreversible consequences for Chandler, his family, and even for Kendric McCloud and Kevin Mousie. As a community, what can we do to prevent more young lives from being stolen, both as victims and perpetrators? Are there enough resources and support out there for young people in Cheviot, or are these incidents starting to feel more frequent because we’re missing something essential in guiding our youth? It’s a heartbreaking situation all around, and my heart really goes out to Chandler’s family and his unborn child who will never meet their dad. How can we make sure this kind of loss is not in vain?

I can't stop thinking about the emotional strength Chandler Baker's mom showed throughout this ordeal. It's incredibly moving to see her emphasize forgiveness amid such a tragic loss. Losing a child is unimaginable, yet she has managed to express sorrow without harboring anger. As a parent myself, I can't help but feel a deep sense of empathy for her as she navigates the loss of Chandler and the future he should have had. It makes me wonder how one finds the ability to forgive in these situations and whether it helps in the healing process. Her example is something that I think many of us can learn from, though I can't imagine how difficult it must be. Sending love to Chandler's family and hoping justice is served.
