I’ve been thinking a lot about the upcoming court date that Denise and Jay never made it to. It’s so painful to realize they were supposed to be in court just a few days after they died. It seems like Denise was taking all the right steps to protect herself and her family. Filing for divorce and getting a restraining order must've been incredibly difficult decisions for her, and it breaks my heart that she didn’t get the chance to see things through. I can't imagine what her kids are going through, knowing their mom was trying so hard to build a safer future for them all. It’s important for us to consider the risks and fears victims of domestic violence face when they're preparing to confront their abusers. I really hope this case brings more awareness and support to people in similar situations. What could have been done differently to protect Denise during this critical time?
I’ve been thinking a lot about Denise's children and grandchildren as they face this unimaginable loss. It’s hard to fathom the pain they must be going through, especially given the ongoing investigation and all the unanswered questions surrounding this case. Losing a parent is always difficult, but to have it happen under such tragic circumstances must be overwhelming.
Denise seemed like she was doing everything she could to protect herself and her family. The fact that she filed for a restraining order shows how seriously she took the situation with Jay. It’s a stark reminder of how complex and dangerous domestic violence situations can be.
I hope the investigators can provide some clarity and answers soon, not just for the sake of bringing justice to Denise, but to give her family some semblance of peace and closure. Thinking of them as they navigate this incredibly tough time.
I keep thinking about Denise's bravery in taking steps to protect herself and her kids. Filing for a restraining order and seeking a way out of that marriage must have been incredibly difficult, especially with the constant threat of violence hanging over her. It's so upsetting to realize that even with these measures, things took such a tragic turn. I'm curious whether anyone knows if there were any failures in the legal system that might have contributed to this? It's crucial that we learn from these situations so other families might be protected in the future. My heart goes out to Denise’s children and grandchildren; they lost their mom and grandma in such a devastating way. I hope they’re finding support and comfort from loved ones during this hard time.
