Has anyone else been following the developments about the Wise Guy's Bar and Grill liquor license issues? I've been thinking about how places like these can often become hotspots for danger. It's really saddening that Vincent L. Brown Jr.’s life was cut short, and to think that other incidents had been happening there makes me wonder why nothing was done sooner. It's not to place blame on anyone specific, but shouldn’t establishments have some responsibility to ensure their patrons’ safety? I hope the city council's move to object to the renewal helps prevent future tragedies. My heart goes out to Mr. Brown’s family and friends; it's a loss that the community will feel for a long time.
