I've been following Theresa Craig's case, and something that's been really poignant to me is the aftermath for the community at VFW Post 9656. From what I've gathered, Theresa was not just a member, but an active supporter of the community there. I can't imagine how those who knew her through her work at the Ladies Auxiliary must be feeling now. It's clear Theresa was deeply respected and loved, and for her life to end in such a way is beyond tragic. It’s devastating to see someone who contributed positively to their community become a victim of such senseless violence. I attended a small gathering at the VFW recently, and you could just feel the weight of her absence. The conversations all turned, at some point, to fond memories of Theresa. It was very touching to see how everyone came together to support one another. Her story is a stark reminder that domestic violence can ripple far beyond the immediate family, deeply affecting friends and community members as well. I hope her story continues to raise awareness about the importance of supporting victims of domestic violence. My heart goes out to her family, friends, and everyone at VFW Post 9656 who felt her loss so keenly.
