I've been following the discussion around Michael Brennan's tragic death, and my heart goes out to his family and friends. Something that's been on my mind is the psychological impact such high-stress situations can have on everyone involved, including the officers. It's so easy for those of us on the outside to pass judgment, but I can't imagine the immense pressure on both sides during those final moments. While it's clear that Michael's actions led to a tragic end, it's also important to consider the lasting effects on the community and the officers who had to make incredibly difficult decisions in a split second. A situation like this is never straightforward and leaves so many lingering questions and emotions. I hope that with time, everyone touched by this tragedy finds peace and healing.
