I can’t stop thinking about how difficult this must be for Charles Flagg’s family, particularly his mother, Carlnette. She’s been tirelessly advocating for justice since her son's tragic death, even collaborating with groups like Mothers Against Gun Violence. It’s baffling how she manages to channel her grief into action and maintain such resilience in the face of an ongoing investigation that seems to stall. The fact that they hold those annual vigils speaks volumes about their determination not to let Charles be forgotten. I can’t help but wonder if more community involvement or media attention might help bring new leads. The description of the shooter seems fairly distinct, and yet, almost eight years later, justice still seems out of reach.
