Hey everyone, I’ve been digging into the Lyndsay McKinney case and something struck me about his clothing at the time of his disappearance. Has anyone else thought it odd that he was wearing a black long-sleeved rugby jersey and a yellow rain jacket, but no shoes? I mean, going barefoot seems a bit unusual for sailing—wouldn’t his feet get cold or be more vulnerable on a boat? Could this detail suggest something about what happened to him? Maybe he left in a hurry, or perhaps there's something about the boat trip we’re missing? I’d love to hear everyone else's thoughts or theories on what this might imply.
Hey everyone, I’ve just been diving into Lyndsay McKinney’s case from 1991, and something keeps bugging me. He was last seen without shoes despite being out on the water. Isn’t that kind of odd? I’ve been out sailing a couple of times, and it seems pretty risky to go without proper footwear—especially if the weather’s unpredictable and you're out on a lake like Ontario.
Does anyone know if there was something specific about the weather that day that might have prompted him to shed his shoes? Also, I’m wondering if anyone has theories on how this might link to what happened to him? I understand it might be common to go shoeless for some sailors, but it seems like every little detail should be considered here. Would love to hear some thoughts or insights!
