Has anyone else been struck by the role the location played in Katherine Glass's case? The fact that the murder took place in a seemingly random Arby's parking lot is so eerie. It feels like such a violation of a space we're all familiar with, a place you'd think of as part of a regular day. I can't begin to imagine the fear Katherine must have felt in those final moments. It's chilling to think that Reginald Varner could commit such a brutal act in such a public setting, then go on to move her body repeatedly. My heart goes out to her family and friends; dealing with this loss in such a shocking way must be unimaginably difficult. It makes me think twice about the places we consider 'safe' in our everyday lives.
