I’ve been following Athena Nicholas’s case and the part that really struck me is how the neighbors found her and Terry early the next morning. I can’t even imagine the confusion and shock of stumbling onto such a tragic scene right outside their home. It must have been so devastating for them and everyone who knew Athena. Neighbors are usually the ones you trust and see every day, and suddenly they’re involved in this tragic chapter of her life—I just can’t get my head around it. It also makes me think about the importance of community and looking out for each other, especially when someone might seem isolated or in trouble. I hope anyone struggling like Athena was might find the courage to reach out or use resources available before things reach such a tragic point. My heart goes out to her family and friends who were left to pick up the pieces after that horrible night. ?️
