It's incredibly saddening to hear about young lives like Richard Nieves being lost to senseless violence. We're talking about a 21-year-old with a promising future ahead, whose life was cut short so tragically. I came across his obituary in The Plain Dealer and noticed they had a service on August 30, 2016, at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors. It’s a stark reminder of the pain his family must be going through, and the community too—losing someone so young hits everyone hard. What puzzles me is the lack of updates from law enforcement. It’s been years without any leads or arrests being publicized. How does a case go so cold without any information or resolution? It’s concerning, not only for Richard’s loved ones but also for the safety of the community. How do we help keep this case in the spotlight? His family deserves to know what happened, and whoever is responsible needs to be held accountable. Let’s keep spreading the word and pushing for answers.
