I’ve been digging into Derrick Wallace’s case and was struck by how challenging it must have been for the detectives and his family, given the conditions in Detroit at the time. It's really difficult to comprehend how anyone could face the reality of losing someone they loved in such a violent way and then not have any answers year after year. It's evident that the strain on law enforcement was immense in 2011. They were dealing with a staggering number of cases, and I can't help but wonder how many leads went cold simply because there wasn’t enough manpower or resources. It’s frustrating to think that Derrick's case, like many others, might have slipped through the cracks, not because of a lack of care, but because of systemic issues. To anyone who knew Derrick or his family, I hope they're finding strength and support in the community. Their ordeal highlights the critical need for more resources and community involvement in solving these cases. If anyone has updates or ways to help, please share. Derrick and his loved ones deserve closure.
