I've been following Lynn Shackelford's case for a while and I'm consistently struck by the senselessness of this tragedy. What sticks with me is how Lynn was trying to make a living, running a store from his home, something so many people do to get by. It's chilling to think about how someone can just come into your space and take away everything in an instant. My heart truly goes out to his family and friends, who had to endure such a shocking loss. I hope they find some comfort in knowing that the person responsible is paying for this terrible act. But I also think about how Lynn never got the justice that he deserved, since the original murder charge was reduced to involuntary manslaughter. What are your thoughts on how justice was served in this case? Personally, I find it hard to come to terms with, even years later.
