Hey everyone, I'm diving into Carlos Rivas's case again, and something caught my attention. It's really puzzling how, after all this time, there's still so little information about what might have happened to him. I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on how his medical condition might have affected his disappearance. From what I gather, Carlos was in need of his medication due to his schizophrenia. Without it, he might have been very vulnerable or disoriented. Is it possible that his condition led him to become lost or scared, and he ended up in a place where he couldn’t call for help or be identified? Also, does anyone know how local shelters or hospitals handled unidentified persons back in the mid-90s? Were there systems in place that might not have picked up on a person with Carlos's condition back then? It's such a tough case with so many dead ends, but I'm hopeful that revisiting all aspects of it might eventually give us a break. Anyone have similar thoughts or insights on cases like this?

I've been following Carlos Rivas's disappearance for a while now, and one detail that's always struck me is his choice of clothing the day he went missing. A brown plaid shirt with khaki pants and brown shoes—it's such a distinct outfit. It's like he was going about his day normally, and then he just vanished. I've read that the choice of clothing can sometimes provide clues or trigger memories for someone who might have seen him that day. Does anyone know if there were any local businesses or public places around El Paso where someone dressed like that might have been noticed? It seems like such a specific look might stand out to someone. Even after all these years, the right person might remember seeing Carlos, and it could be a crucial lead. Thoughts?

Has anyone looked into whether Carlos Rivas could've potentially crossed into Mexico the day he disappeared? El Paso is right on the border, and I know this has been a factor in some other missing persons cases from the area. His mental state and need for medication might have made him more vulnerable to confusion or coercion. Maybe someone in Juárez remembers seeing him around that time? It might be worth trying to get the word out in that area if it hasn't been done already. Just a thought.
