Does anyone have thoughts on how the justice system handled the mental health aspect of this case? It’s been a while since Joshua and Josh were taken from us in such a senseless way, and I’ve been reflecting on Nasser Hamad's mental state during the trial. I remember reading something about his defense arguing for a lesser sentence due to mental health issues. As many of us have seen in similar cases, this can be a complex issue. While nothing can bring back Joshua or Josh, understanding the role mental health played might offer some insight into the tragic events. I’m curious how you all feel about the balance between holding someone accountable and considering their mental health state.
