I recently attended a community vigil held in memory of O'Bryan "Lucky" Raphael Spikes, and it struck me just how much love this man inspired. So many people showed up to pay their respects. The stories shared by his friends and family painted a picture of a truly vibrant person who was taken too soon. It's incredible and saddening how one night of chaos has parallels in many lives now. Something I think we can all take away from this is the importance of standing against violence and supporting each other. It's clear that while justice needs to be served, what the community really needs is healing and unity. For those living in Cincinnati or anywhere else touched by this tragedy, how do you think we, as a community, can better support victims' families, like Lucky's, and work towards reducing violence?
