Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the tragic loss of Mohamed Deq Mohamed and the challenges his family must be going through right now. One particular aspect of this case that sticks out to me is the role of community support. In situations like this, where tragic events strike individuals visiting for something as positive as a soccer tournament, it's moving to see communities rally together, both in Columbus and back home in Rochester. I wonder if there are more ways local communities can come together to aid law enforcement in getting leads or if there are existing community outreach initiatives that could help build more trust and encourage more people to come forward. The fact that no arrests have been made must be incredibly frustrating for everyone involved, especially with a reward being offered. My heart goes out to Mohamed’s family and the other victims' families. Let’s hope that by keeping these discussions alive, the right people will feel compelled to step up and provide information that could lead to justice.
