Hey everyone,
I've been thinking a lot about the case of David Simard and Felicidad Tabares and how it highlights ongoing issues in Detroit's criminal justice system. I've read about the scarcity of resources and the lack of witness cooperation, and I'm just overwhelmed by how these factors can impede investigations. It's so frustrating to see justice delayed due to such systemic issues.
The community must've felt a heavy sense of fear during that time, knowing that even when foul play was suspected, getting a resolution took so long. It makes me wonder what can be done to better support both the police force and the community in coming together to solve these crimes. Every victim, like David and Felicidad, deserves not only to have their stories heard but to have justice served. My thoughts are with their families; I can't imagine the pain they must have endured.
Does anyone have insights on what changes might be underway to address these challenges in Detroit? Would love to hear more thoughts on this.
Stay safe, everyone.
