Has anyone else been thinking about the K-9 aspect of Officer Eric Joering's legacy? I know there's a lot to unpack in this tragic case, but knowing he was also a K-9 officer shows another layer of his dedication and bravery. Those who have worked with service dogs appreciate the powerful bond and mutual trust involved. My heart goes out to his family and colleagues who've lost not just a friend and family member but someone who clearly had a heart for serving others in every sense. I wonder if the K-9 unit has done any special tributes to honor him—perhaps something involving his love for those dogs? It's comforting to know his legacy touches so many aspects of his life.
