I’ve been following the case of Officer Morelli since the incident occurred, and something that really hits home for me is thinking about his family coping with such a loss. I can't begin to imagine the pain that comes with losing a loved one in such a horrific manner. Officer Morelli served the community for nearly three decades, which is a testament to his commitment and bravery. Reading about how a stretch of highway was renamed in his and Officer Joering’s memory is a beautiful tribute, but it’s just so sad it had to come to that. I didn’t know Anthony Morelli personally, but hearing about his legacy and the impact he had on his community leaves me wishing I could have. For the folks in Westerville and his family, I hope the community support continues strong. If anyone has stories they want to share about encounters or moments with Officer Morelli, especially from folks around town, I’d love to hear them. Keeping his memory alive is important.
