Does anyone know if there were any significant weather conditions on June 23, 1998, that might have affected visibility or safety on Lost Creek Lake? I’ve read a few old newspaper articles, but they don’t really mention the weather. I'm curious if a sudden storm or high winds could have played a role in Fred Jennings’ disappearance. That area is notorious for quick weather changes, which could have made rescue efforts more difficult. I wonder if there are records or locals who recall what it was like that day. If anyone around Trail, Oregon, remembers, please share! ?️?
Has anyone else noticed how strange it is that no sign of Fred Jennings has been found after all these years? I get that Lost Creek Lake is pretty vast, but you’d think something would have turned up by now. I was reading up on lake bathymetry and how underwater currents might affect where items end up, but even still, given the number of searches that took place, it's puzzling. Has anyone seen any updates on technology being used in similar cases that might help? It just seems like there’s something more that could be done, but maybe that's wishful thinking. Thoughts?
