Has anyone else heard about the developments in forensic technology being used by the Detroit Cold Case Unit? I was doing some reading and came across Brandon Carter's case—such a sad situation. It seems like this new tech could really help reexamine evidence from older cases. It's been more than a decade since Brandon was senselessly taken from his loved ones, and my heart goes out to them. I was wondering if anyone has any insight into how these technologies have made an impact elsewhere or if they've led to successful resolutions in similar cases? It feels like a little bit of hope for families like Brandon’s who have been waiting so long for answers. Are any of you familiar with cases where these new methods brought fresh evidence to light? It'd be great to hear some stories of hope.

I've been following the case of Brandon Carter for quite some time, and it's just so deeply unsettling to think about how his family has had to endure over a decade without answers. I wonder how much impact the new Cold Case Unit might have on all these unsolved cases in Detroit. It's encouraging to know that there have been advances in forensic tech, but I'm curious if anyone has insights on how effective these new techniques have been in cracking older cases? It seems like a complex task, but maybe there's hope on the horizon for Brandon and so many others. If any family or friends of Brandon are reading this, please know that there are people out here who care and are rooting for justice to be served.
