On a cold January evening in Springfield, Massachusetts, the life of 29-year-old Alexis Martinez was tragically cut short. On January 5, 2019, police responded to a report of a gunshot victim in the parking lot of the Five Town Plaza on Cooley Street. There, they discovered Martinez in the driver's seat of his Jeep Compass, suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite the immediate administration of CPR by the responding officers, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
