I just can't stop thinking about the impact this tragedy had on Saniyah's sister who was in the car with her. It must be unimaginable for her, and sometimes I wonder how she’s coping now. No child should have to experience such trauma, especially losing a sibling in such a violent manner. I hope the community and professionals are providing support to her and the whole family during this incredibly difficult time. Saniyah’s story has really highlighted how vital it is to protect our children from the ripple effects of violence, and it makes me wish more could be done to prevent this kind of tragedy from happening in the future.
