Hey everyone,
I’ve been thinking a lot about Sterling Perryman's case and how it highlights the struggle many families face in Detroit with unsolved murders. It’s so frustrating to see cases like this remain open, despite the passing years. Every time I read about it, I can’t help but imagine the pain his family must be going through, waiting for answers that haven’t come.
What strikes me the most is the sheer number of unsolved cases in Detroit—over 8,000 since 1980 is staggering. It makes you wonder how many families are out there still seeking justice. The cold case unit is doing the best they can, given the circumstances, but it must be incredibly challenging with so many barriers like insufficient evidence or hesitance from witnesses.
I really hope that anyone with information feels encouraged to come forward. Every bit helps, and maybe one day, advancements in forensics will bring closure to families like Sterling's. It's hard not to feel for the loved ones left behind, continuing their fight for justice while trying to keep Sterling’s memory alive. It’s so important we keep talking about these cases, keeping them in the public eye, until we can finally see some resolutions.
Sending support and strength to everyone affected.
Take care,

Has anyone else been following the cold case of Sterling Perryman from 2012? I can't stop thinking about how his murder near St. Antoine and Woodbridge is still unsolved. It's so unsettling to think about how the night must have unfolded, and how it ended in such a tragedy for someone so young. From what I've read, the area was pretty crowded at the time, which makes it even more baffling that no one has come forward with definitive information.
It's frustrating to see so many cases like Sterling's go unsolved in Detroit. I really feel for his family and friends who are left with so many unanswered questions. There’s a growing urgency for witnesses to step up, but I can understand the fear involved. I wonder if any new technology or social media appeals could potentially shake loose some new information at this point? Let me know if you’ve heard anything recently or have any thoughts on how we can advocate for justice for Sterling.
Has anyone else been following the Sterling Perryman case? I was reading through some old articles and couldn't help but feel overwhelmed by the sheer number of unsolved cases in Detroit. Sterling was just 22 years old and caught up in something so senseless. It's frustrating to see justice elude his family all these years later. I hope that with the advancements in forensic technology and renewed efforts by the Cold Case Unit, there might be some breakthroughs. Anyone else have thoughts on how this case might be pushed further into the spotlight? Maybe there's something more we can do as a community to support families like Sterling's and help bring attention to these unresolved tragedies.
