I recently came across Zachary's story, and it just lingered with me. It's such a chilling reminder of how, sometimes, the most seemingly innocuous actions can have catastrophic outcomes. What's been on my mind is the role of the friends who were on the FaceTime call with him. They must have been terrified and helpless, witnessing everything unfold with no power to change it. I can't even begin to fathom the psychological impact this must have had on them, being so young and having to process such a traumatic experience. I truly hope those kids received the support they needed in the aftermath. If anyone has insight into how the school handled providing psychological help or resources, I’d be interested to hear about it. It's a harsh reality for everyone, and my heart goes out to Zachary's family and these kids who shared in his life and his last moments.

I can’t stop thinking about Zachary's friends who were on that FaceTime call with him when the accident happened. It must be incredibly traumatic for them to have witnessed such a tragedy. I hope they are receiving the support they need to heal from this. It’s such a stark reminder of how quickly and unexpectedly life can change. I wonder if there are community efforts or programs being launched to promote firearm safety among teens. It's crucial to prevent such incidents from happening again and to educate everyone about the potential dangers of firearms, even if they seem like they're just "for show." Sending strength to everyone involved.
