I've been thinking a lot about the fact that Brandon Fenton tried to confront the assailants during the invasion. It speaks volumes about his character and bravery. It's so difficult to imagine what was going through his mind at that moment, but it seems clear he was someone who cared deeply about protecting others. I can’t help but feel for his family and friends who have to live with this huge void in their lives. It’s so unfair that he was taken from them so suddenly and violently. It makes me angry that these criminals are still out there, and I hope the community keeps supporting the police with any information they might have. Knowing how close-knit communities can be, I'm optimistic that someone will come forward to help bring these perpetrators to justice. Brandon deserves that, and so does his family. Sending my thoughts to all who are grieving and hoping for a break in the case soon.
