I’ve been reading about Ceejay Reed’s case and can’t shake the thought of his poor friends who were there with him that night. It must be devastating to not only lose a friend in such a violent way but to also carry the trauma of surviving such an incident. How do you even begin to process being caught up in a random act of violence like that? It seems like they’re going to have a long road to healing, physically and emotionally. It’s just so senseless. I hope they have a strong support system to help them through this, and I hope they find justice for Ceejay someday. If anyone has tips on resources for trauma survivors or knows of support groups in the Oakland area, maybe share them here. That kind of information could be really helpful to anyone involved.
